PEI Group is a subscriber-focused business intelligence company, dedicated to informing and connecting investment professionals across global, specialised markets.
As PEI’s lease was nearing its end, they sought a new space that would not only meet their immediate business needs but also provide the flexibility to grow in line with their future goals and expectations.
The client team was divided into two groups: a ‘Focus Team’ composed of key decision-makers, including the CEO, CFO, and office management, and a larger ‘Project Team,’ made up of around 20 staff members from various departments, spanning different ages and levels of experience within PEI.
One of the workshops I organised with the Project Team focused on the look and feel of the space, specifically exploring finishes, textures, patterns, and colors. The goal was to understand how the team envisioned the space being divided between client-facing and staff areas.
A key takeaway from this workshop was the team’s desire to create distinct zones within the office— some areas to align with PEI’s brand guidelines, while others would provide a break from brand integration, offering a more relaxed, creative environment. This helped shape the design direction, ensuring the space would reflect both the company’s identity and its evolving needs.
